ABS provides favorable mechanical properties such as impact resistance, toughness, and rigidity when compared with other common polymers.

ABS is widely used as a material for 3D printing, as it is a strong and cheap thermoplastic. For 3D Printing purposes, ABS is extruded into filament so it can be fed through the 3D printer.

VectorX uses high quality ABS for best results. When it is used as a filament 3D printing, it is suitable due to the high stability and various post-processing options (sanding, painting, gluing, filling). 
 
We especially use ABS for the production of prototypes.
